1976 Aerostar 700

680 Superstar I

Serial Number: 61P-0336-098

Total Time: 3400

History of N800AA
N800AA was originally sold by Ted Smith Aerostar in April of 1977, U.S. registered
as N90693.
In July 1978 this Aerostar 601P went to Great Britain where it was registered as GCOLT.
After 2 to 3 years in Great Britain, G-COLT went to Canada where it appears to
have been based in the Windsor area (near Detroit), and was owned by a local
physician, registered as C-GBVB. In 1994 this Aerostar made its way back to the
states, had one owner (for a short period) in Mississippi and was then based in
California for the next four years. The airplane was converted to Superstar I status
in 1996 including the current Machen paint scheme. The conversion was done by
Aerostar World in Dothan Alabama.

We purchased this Aerostar in September 2003. The aircraft was immediately given
a through inspection and up-date to bring the airplane up to standards. This was
done by Zane Pritts Aviation, who specializes in Aerostars. It came out of this and
went directly to the avionics shop where the panel was completely reworked and the
current Garmin stack was installed. The aircraft then went directly to Goodrich
Ontario for a leather interior.
N800AA recently had a major overhaul of the left and right engines (with heavy cases) and
propeller overhaul including new hubs on both sides installed by Zane Pritts.
This plane, after extensive review of the records, appears to have gotten to this point
without any airframe damage history.
All maintenance has been performed by Zane Pritts Aviation (well known Aerostar Specialists) since 2003.
This airplane is eligible for easy conversion to Superstar 700 by replacing the
propeller blades with “low-noise signature” blades and increasing the maximum
manifold pressure.
