N777TM: Background Information

Aerostar airframe number 350 started life as N90677, and whas Christened a 1976 Aerostar 601P on September 17, 1976 with with a 3.17 hour test flight resulting in a standard airworthiness certificate.  This Aerostar was originally sold new to John Dutton of Harford, Connecticut.  The  second owner was Zions Leasing of Salt Lake City Utah, during whose reign the plane was upgraded to a Superstar.  The governor of Louisiana purchased the plane in the mid 1980's, apparently basing the plane in Baton Rouge.  Thanks to the governor for spending the money to put a custom metal panel and rare Century 41 Autopilot with altitude preselect into this plane - the highly sought after KFC-200 has nothing on the Century 41!

We purchased this plane from the fourth owner, a business owner in Tennesee who purchased N777TM as N90677 in 1989. He had struggled with catch-up maintenance for the first year or so, but was able to get the plane to turn-key status with the help of an Aerostar specialist. As of late, he had diminished need for a plane, and reluctantly sold it to Boulder Valley Aviation after over 15 years of ownership.

N777TM is now based at Boulder Municipal Airport, where it is undergoing a thorough annual inspection.  N777TM is for sale by owner (Boulder Valley Aviation, Inc.), and may be viewed by appointment.
