SOLD - Superstar 700 Pressurized Aerostar - SOLD

Aerostar serial number 235 was produced by Ted Smith Aerostar Corporation of Santa Maria, California in 1975. It was originally assigned a registration mark of N369CC.

Factory test flight was July 7, 1975, and after 3.45 hours of flight time, it was awarded an airwothiness certificate. After review of the records, this Aerostar appears have found its first owner  a corporation in Connecticut, the early maintenance being done by Henry Weber Aircraft Distributors.  The second owner took over the plane in 1978, the registration mark was changed to N869CC, and the plane based in Pennsylvania until 1980.  N869CC was next sold to a mineral company in Colorado, and the plane seems to have been based in Northern California and Colorado from 1980 to 1987, with maintenance being done by Machen, The Flight Shop, and others. The plane went through two Corporate owners from 1987 to 1993, seemingly having been in Cape Girardeau Missouri and in the Lancaster PA area.

Finally, N869CC was sold to its last owner of record who has owned the plane since 1992.  TLC has been abundant for the past 12 years, with the plane getting the new -U2A engines, paint, many mods, and simply excellent maintenance.

Review of the FAA form 337's, logbooks, etc reveal no major damage history.

This Aerostar is owned by Boulder Valley Aviation, Inc., and will be viewable at Boulder Municipal Airport by appointment.

Paint and Interior:

Paint was done in 1999 in a custom scheme. Aircraft was completely stripped and prepped and then painted in Jetglo.  All fasteners were replaced with stainless steel.  Paint is in exceptional condition, and shows the care this plane has received.

Six seat interior was last done in 1990 with grey pillow-top fabric and leather seats. Carpet is dark grey. Five seats are high-back with headrests. Interior is holding up very well despite its age.
